After you register with a valid email, the administrators receive an email. Once we can confirm it's not a spam post, your account will be activated. Following are some things you'll want to keep in mind while posting on the ourtownsquare.com message board.

• Copyrighted Material
ourtownsquare.com boards users agree not to post any material that is protected by copyright, trademark or other proprietary right without the express permission of the owner(s) of said copyright, trademark or other proprietary right. This includes but is not limited to magazine, book and newspaper scans, television broadcasts and copyrighted photos and pictures.

• Flaming, Bashing, and Trolling
Hate posts and personal attacks will not be tolerated on the ourtownsquare.com boards. This includes posting libelous information about any private citizens that is considered "hearsay". Unless it's a published, known fact, please keep the gossip out of the conversation.

• Profanity
Offensive language is unacceptable and will be censored.

• Spam
Purposely spamming a message board with business offers is not acceptable.

• Piracy, ROMs, and Warez
Illegal software and discussion about obtaining any pirated software, warez or ROMs will not be tolerated at any time.

• Impersonating Other Users / Accessing Another User's Account
You may not impersonate another board member or create an account specifically for the purpose of provoking other users. Also, accessing or using someone else's account or attempting to access another poster's account is strictly prohibited. You will be banned from the board permanently if this happens.

• Altering Board Code
Altering code for the board is prohibited. Using automatic scripts on any part of the board is not permitted. Hacking, altering board code, exploiting code bugs and using scripts are all grounds for an immediate and permanent ban.

• Spoilers
When discussing books or movies, please keep in mind that not everyone may know how the story ends and it's disappointing to find out because of something mentioned in a post. Please give a spoiler alert at the beginning of your post so other readers have the choice to skim past it or read it.

• Posting Huge Images / Fake Signature Pics
Please don't post large images in the threads and keep signature/avatar pics to under 15k.

• Questionable Content
This is the "cover everything" rule. This is a public forum in a public place. We expect everyone to conduct themselves in an appropriate fashion.

All the board rules extend to everything related to the board including private messages, signatures, etc.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, this includes messages posted by Record Publishing personnel, representatives etc. Record Publishing Company reserves the right to reveal the identity of or whatever information we know about any user in the event of a complaint or legal action arising from any message posted by said user.
