Trying to breathe a little life back into this forum!
Will Scott Brown's election spell doom for Obama's agenda?
And if so, how do you think the Republicans can best capitalize on it? |

I sure hope so. Someone has to stop him before we all end up in the poor house!
That was a very important election and we will see if Barrack Insane Obama is smart enough to see the people are not liking his leadership. _________________ Where did I put my beer??? |

Isn't it amazing at how many democrats have decided to not run next go around? I think this special election that was held is evidence of how fed up the people are. I am republican and would have hated for my party to be getting tarnished as bad as the democrats. I think the democrats are ready to drop the titles and be all as one party. I hope the next few years we get the same type of results as this special election brought all the way down to the county seats.
This obama-care mess has caused problems even locally at the businesses here. Our hometown-grown grocer (CCs) has cut back on employees and hiring young baggers like they used to because of the insurance mess. They can't afford to hire so many kids and supply their insurance. _________________ I refuse to participate in this recession! |

I think many incumbants will have problems this year.
We need to send our Bob home as well. _________________ Republicrats and Demopublicans. There is not a dimes worth of difference in any of them. None of them have our best interest in mind. |

| I am excited that Our Bob is truly vulnerable this year! Four Repubs in the primary - yaay, there will be a choice! I will have to study up to see which one to support. |

Sadly,
He'll pobably have some appointment after/if he loses so he has no reason to care about the constituents.
My early pick as I like how she uses Bob's lie.
From the TDR
| Quote: | Voting In Lockstep
To the editor:
Years ago, the first time Bob Etheridge ran for Congress, he promised voters he was going to be our district’s “independent” voice, beholden to no one, and blasted his opponent by saying, “My opponent voted with Newt Gingrich 93 percent of the time. This district deserves more than a 7-percent congressman.”
Congressman Etheridge has voted with Nancy Pelosi 97 percent of the time. Doesn’t our district deserve more than a 3 percent congressman?
To get elected, Etheridge promised, “I won’t be cowtied by any president or speaker, whoever it is. ... I won’t vote in lockstep. You have to represent the people who sent you there.”
Now we’ve got the most liberalpresident and speaker in history, and Bob Etheridge is voting in lockstep with them on everything from doubling our debt to closing Guantanamo — 97 percent of the time.
Renee Ellmers Dunn Mrs. Ellmers is running for the Republican nomination to challenge Rep. Etheridge in the fall. |
